William T Moffatt

William Thomas “Bill” Moffatt, 82 years old; passed away January 14, 2021 peacefully at home with his family at his side.  He was born June 26, 1938 to the late Allan K. and Elizabeth (Stivers) Moffatt in Middletown, NY.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Kathryn E. (Gensler) Moffatt.  He is also survived by two children:  Elizabeth K. Moffatt and William E. Moffatt, both of Millerstown; a sister, Mary Elizabeth Loew of Boston, MA; and two nephews: Timothy and Andrew Loew of MA.

Bill graduated from Chester High School, Chester, NY and Courtland University, Courtland, NY.  Bill worked at PPG, Union Carbide and NH Labs until his retirement.

Bill proudly served this country in the U.S. Army.  Bill and his family moved to Perry County, Saville Township in 1978.  He was a member of Faith United Church in Ickesburg.  Bill loved farming on his 105-acre farm where he raised sheep.  He loved his sheep, apple orchard, cutting firewood, and his faithful dog, Duke, who also helped with the sheep. He was a Phillies “Phan” and enjoyed crossword puzzles.
