Obituary
Vernon Goodwin, 84 of Loysville, went home to be with the Lord on January 7, 2023. Born at home on May 4, 1938 to the late Vernon and Bertha (Simonton) Goodwin. Vernon is survived by a son, Vernon Croak of Loysville; and four sisters: Mabel (Bobby) Lesher, Anna Goodwin, and Alma (John) Mixell, all of Carlisle, and Alice “Becky” Stone of Newport. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Goodwin.
Known to some as “Skip” or “Tex”, Vernon was a funny gentleman who was strong as an ox and loved small game hunting. He was a truck driver and funeral home assistant with Nickel Funeral Home in Loysville.
Services for Vernon will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc. of Loysville.
