Sandra Kay (Moyer) Alleman, age 73 of Elliottsburg, joined her Heavenly Father on February 24, 2025. Born in Hershey on July 6, 1951, to the late Kenneth W. and Lucille E. (Fitting) Moyer, Sandy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her beloved husband of 43 years, Paul Edwin Alleman, Sr.; five children: Jennie Etzweiler of Carlisle, Mary Smith (Marty) of Elliottsburg, Barbara McDonald (Kenneth) of TN, and Brandi Buckles and William Alleman (Kendra) – both of Elliottsburg; seven grandchildren: Natasha Stroup (Bobby) of Halifax, Nathan Henry of Elliottsburg, Jeffrey Smith ( Amanda) of New Bloomfield, Stephanie Smith of Enola, Austin Buckles (Mya) of Shermans Dale, Juniper Buckles of Elliottsburg and Abs; one great grandson: Jaxson; and two sisters: Shirley Sanders (David) of Gettysburg and Lynn Ogurcak (Brian) of Grantville. In addition to her parents, Sandy is preceded in death by her son, Paul E. Alleman, Jr. who died in 2015; her identical twin sister, Susan Nelson; and her two brothers: Kenneth L. Moyer and Larry Moyer.
Sandy graduated from Lower Dauphin High School in 1969. In addition to running a household and raising a family, Sandy worked in her early years for J. Landis Shoe Factory. She retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue as a Clerk Typist with 33 years of service. After retirement, she worked in the Court Administrator's Office in the Perry County Courthouse in New Bloomfield.
Sandy was a passionate quilter. She belonged to Perry Piecemakers, Ickesburg Quilters, and New Bloomfield Senior Center. She was always working on something, whether it was crocheting, needlepoint, or quilting. She enjoyed camping with Paul and their two dogs, Shadow and Max. Even while enjoying the outdoors, she was still working on one of her projects.
Sandy’s funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3 at 10 AM (to avoid disturbing the service, please arrive no later than 9:45 AM) in the calming chapel of Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc. located at 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville, PA 17047. Chaplain Todd Carver will be officiating.
