Ruben Moore, Jr.

Waynesboro, PA

Ruben Moore, Jr. age 54, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at his home. He was
the beloved husband of Holly Y. Moore and they shared 13 years of marriage together. Ruben was born
May 2, 1965 in Detroit, Michigan. He was the son of Ruben Moore, Sr. and Thelma Moore (Jackson),
and the Stepson of Robert Jackson, Jr. He attended the Detroit Public School System and was a graduate
of Osborn High School.

Ruben had a passion for anything automotive. From childhood, Ruben was fascinated by cars.
Growing up in “The Motor City,” it was easy for him to indulge in his favorite hobby. No one was
surprised that his first job was at a car dealership washing and detailing cars. From that moment
forward, Ruben advanced through the levels. He held every position from Detailer, Sales Person, Office
Manager, Finance Officer, to running his own dealership.

Ruben was a God fearing family man. He accepted Christ at an early age where he joined O.A.C.
Community Baptist Church in Detroit Michigan. Though Ruben traveled around due to his employment,
he was never without a church home. He stayed actively involved and greatly enjoyed the love he
shared at Zion Baptist Church in Hagerstown, Maryland. Although his medical conditions prevented him
from attending physically, he remained diligent in his faith and stayed connected with his church family
and Pastor until the time of his passing.

Family was at the forefront of Ruben’s life. He was devoted to his wife, his children, and
especially his grandchildren. He reconnected with his father and they maintained a loving relationship
throughout his adult life.

Ruben was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma L. Jackson and his stepfather Robert
Jackson, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Holly, father Ruben Moore Sr., step mother Josephine Moore,
mother in law, Eva deBraganza, his children, Ruben Moore, III (Anne), Kayla Moore, and Cheyenne Perry
(Brandon), his sister Cheryl L. Patterson and his brother Robert Moore (Michelle), four nieces and
nephews, Christopher and Timothy Patterson and Shannen and Shaneece Moore and his grandchildren,
Carina Moore, Mya Moore,Tamara Moore, Thane Perry, Celia Perry, and Micah Perry, as well as a host
of relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 12 noon in the Zion Baptist Church, 61 Bethel St., Hagerstown, MD
