Rosalie M (Myers) Woomer

Rosalie M. (Myers) Woomer, age 94 of Mechanicsburg, entered her eternal home on October 10, 2023.  Born at home on December 5, 1928 to the late Elmer and Hazel (Sharar) Myers of New Bloomfield, Rosalie is survived by her son, John M. Woomer of Mechanicsburg.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, John C. Woomer, who died in 2008. 

Rosalie completed high school and some additional classes at Central Penn Business School.  She implemented her education as a secretary for Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York, Perry County Courthouse, and Carson Long Military Academy.  She was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Elliottsburg, the Perry County Chapter of Eastern Star #459, and the Ladies Auxiliary of New Bloomfield Fire Department.

A graveside inurnment service will be held on Wednesday, October 18 at 2 PM at Bloomfield Cemetery, with Pastor Eric Petty officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Messiah Lutheran Church, 70 Limestone Ridge Road, Elliottsburg, PA  17024.
