Ronald Dillman Obituary

Ronald E. Dillman, age 74 of Loysville passed away peacefully and surrounded by his loving family on September 11, 2024. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Known for his hard work and generosity, he always prioritized spending quality time with his family. Known by many as “Mr. Fix It”, Ron was born in Carlisle to the late Frank Jacob and Margaret Isabelle (Reisinger) Dillman on October 27, 1949. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Judith Marie (Cornman) Dillman; three children: Denise M. Sheffield (Todd) of Lewisberry, Dawn R. Wilson (James) of New Cumberland, and Travis E. Dillman (Erin) of New Germantown; and seven grandchildren: Maleah, Zoe, Natasha, Macy, Jordan, Allison, and Cole.

Ron graduated with the Class of 1967 of West Perry High School and continued his education at Harrisburg Area Community College where he studied drafting. He was a member of Centre Presbyterian Church in Loysville. He honed his skills as a builder by working for Paul Reisinger Construction, eventually using that expertise to build a home for his family. From there, he was employed by Rite Aid Corporation where he held positions in the carpenter shop, and retired from the position of Fixture Distribution Center Logistics Manager in 2014 after over 40 years of service. Ron also owned his own business, R.D. Manufacturing and Repair, a metal fabrication business.

Ron has always had a passion for engines and motors and things that move including a Ford Galaxy "drag" car in his teen years, his Ford Mustang "family car", motorcycles, four wheelers, and Harley Davidsons. A lifelong motorsports enthusiast, Ron instilled his love for the sport in his son, Travis. From go-karts to legend cars and dirt late models, Ron was a dedicated father, traveling the country to support his son for 15 years.
