Ronald P. Bolze 88, of Loysville left this earth and joined his Heavenly Father and loved ones on December 26, 2020. Ron was born in Carlisle on July 24, 1932 to the late Clyde P. Bolze and Cora Mae (Bickley) Bolze. He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Ruth O. (Roth) Bolze. He is survived by his twin sister Doris “Dottie” Watts of Harrisburg, two sons Thomas E. Bolze of Loysville and Ronald P. (Becky) Bolze Jr. of Chadron, NE, and six grandchildren: Matt, Mike, Tomi, Kelsey, Elizabeth and Sadie, all of whom he was very proud.
Ron graduated from Landisburg High School in 1950 and worked for Milmay Dairy Farm for many years. Then, in the early 1960s he bought the family farm, Bixler Ridge Angus Farm and began his passion for Angus cattle. He also purchased his first school bus and he spent 53 years as a driver and contractor in the West Perry School District. Ron was Past President of the Perry County Farmers Association, Past President of the former Agway Committee, Past President of Blain Lions Club, and served as a board member for many years for Three Springs Church of Brethren.
Ron meant a great deal to lots of people and they to him. He enjoyed his “red” tractors and often rode them in shows and parades as a member of antique tractor clubs.
Graveside services are at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers and cards, memorial contributions can be made to Three Springs Church of the Brethren and to Blain Lions Club.
