Robert Zeigler of Port Royal, age 81, departed from his Earthly home and joined his Heavenly Father on August 27, 2021. Born at home on June 24, 1940 to the late John E. and Virginia (Wright) Zeigler of Elliottsburg, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by two children: Robert (Catherine) Zeigler, Jr. of Port Royal and Denise (Joe) Giulivo of Harrisburg, four grandchildren: Timothy Zeigler of Enola, Matthew Zeigler of Port Royal, Nick (Sabrina) Giulivo of Harrisburg, and Alexis (Jordan) Travitz of Hummelstown; seven great grandchildren; and four siblings: Dorothy (Ken) Baer of Shermans Dale, John (Cathy) Zeigler of Elliottsburg, William (Debby) Zeigler of Senoia, GA, and Doris Rowles of Enola. In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his beautiful bride of 55 years, Sandra K. (Sundy) Zeigler; a stillborn child, Deneen Zeigler; and two siblings: Joyce Reisinger and Richard Zeigler.
Bob was a former dairy farmer for 29 years and retired from Nyce Masonry. He was a member of Faith United Church of Ickesburg and the Ickesburg Lions Club. He loved being outside and watching wildlife. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to the cabin – where he loved to feed the chipmunks!
A time of visitation with the family and memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 21 at Faith United Church, 6968 Veterans Way, Ickesburg, PA 17037. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 AM, and the memorial service will be at 11 AM, with the Reverend Elaine Moyer officiating. In case of COVID issues, services may be held outside depending on the weather, so please bring a lawn chair.
