Robert William Weibley, 84 of Ickesburg, entered eternal rest on February 10, 2026. Born at home on April 25, 1941, to the late Byron I. and Freda L. (Sommer) Weibley of Ickesburg, Bob is survived by his three children: Jody A Frey of Ickesburg, Robert E. Weibley (Amanda) of Liverpool, and Jon W. Weibley (Ashley) of Carlisle; six grandchildren: Ashley Weiss (Jordon) of Liverpool, Dakoda Weiss (Allison) of Berrysburg, Justin Frey of Ickesburg, Travis Weibley of Liverpool, Aiden, and Chase; three great grandchildren: Christian, Mackenzi, and William; and two siblings: Larry Weibley of Kunkletown and Sandra Seace of Decatur, TN. In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susanne (Bair) Weibley, who died in 2004; and two brothers: Ronald and Terry Weibley.
Bob graduated with the 1959 Class of Green Park Union, and continued his higher education at Shippensburg University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Upon completion of his schooling, Bob taught at New Oxford and then West Perry High School. He then left teaching and bought and worked the family dairy (Holstein) farm – Mountain Home Farm. He also set concrete forms for Nyce Construction; from which he retired in 2010. Still too active to sit still, Bob worked part-time unloading trucks for Old Dominion Freight in his retirement.
Bob enjoyed hunting and competitive competition with clay birds, archery, and golf. He hunted every chance he got and in later years he simply loved being in the great outdoors whether he got a shot at something or not. Competitively, he shifted from the lead of a shotgun to the loft of an arrow and the precision of a golf swing.
Bob was an active member of Faith United Church in Ickesburg, where he was both a choir and board member. He was also a member of the Ickesburg Sportman’s Club, New Bloomfield Sportsman’s Club, National Rifle Association, and Perry County Archers.
Memorial services for Bob will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Faith United Church, 6968 Veterans Way, Ickesburg, PA 17037. The visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM, with the memorial service beginning at 11 AM, with the Rev. Elaine C. Moyer officiating. Memorial donations can be made to Faith United Church, PO Box 100, Ickesburg, PA 17037.
