Robert C. Burns

Robert C. Burns of Shermans Dale was born August 23, 1949 to Robert B. and Dorothy E. Burns (Welshone).  He passed away December 29, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Beverly C. Burns. 

Bob graduated from Tuscarora Valley High School in 1967.  He served in the US Navy from 1969 through 1973.  Bob started and ran his own exterminating company, B&B Exterminating, later purchasing and renaming to Tri-County Pest Control.  He later went to work for the Loysville Youth Development Center, where he retired as a Youth Development Aide Supervisor. 

Early in his retirement he provided personal care for his wife, Beverly, during her treatment for cancer.  During his retirement he enjoyed spending time with friends and loved ones, as well as keeping busy around the house. 

He is survived by: his sister Judith ‘Judy’ Smith and her husband Larry, three sons; Bruce, Zachary, and William. Two daughters-in-law Ladonna Nell and Nichole M. as well as three grandchildren; Liberty, Kent Robert, and Joshua. 

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
