Renold E. Bretz

Renold Eugene Bretz, nicknamed ”Renny”,of Shermans Dale age 74, passed from this Earth to join his Heavenly Father on October 30, 2020.  Renold was born on May 2, 1946 in Harrisburg to the late Woodrow and Mary Ellen (Seiders) Bretz.  He was a hard working devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  In addition to his parents, Renold is preceded in death by his first wife, Pamela Lynn (Hunsinger) Bretz.

Renold is survived by his loving wife Leah (Foltz) Bretz, and three children:  Aimée, and her late husband Charlie, Swank of Mechanicsburg, James, and his wife Karole, Bretz of Duncannon, and Angela Kline of Shermans Dale.  Renold is also survived by three grandchildren:  Brittany (Josh) Bretz of Marysville, Samantha (Eddie) Swank of Mechanicsburg, and Nicole Swank of Mechanicsburg, and two great grandchildren: Aliyah and Amir Swank.  In addition to his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews, Renny is also survived by two sisters Darlene (Jeff) Johnson and Kathi (Joe) Minchloff, both of Colorado.

After graduating from Cedar Cliff High School, Renny started his 34 year career at Quaker Oats in Shiremanstown.  In addition to his job, Renny loved living in the country, hunting and fishing, eating at Red Rabbit, and watching ice hockey and dirt track racing.  He loved his freedom to live as an American patriot.
