Ralph C Kessler

Ralph C. Kessler, age 74 of Blain, went into the arms of his Heavenly Father on September 23, 2024.  Born at home on October 3, 1949, to the late Della I. Kessler of Blain, Ralph is survived by his companion of 18 years, Kathy Flanagan.  He had no children nor grandchildren.  In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his siblings:  Perma Smith and Wayne Metz. 

Although blind most of his life, Ralph graduated with the 1970 Class of West Perry High School.  He was very proud of his wrestling accomplishments when he victoriously wrestled for Overbrook School of the Blind, and his opponents had their complete vision.  Ralph was a member of the Blain Lions Club and on United Church of Christ in Blain.  He also attended Manassa Community Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 7 at Manassa Community Baptist Church at 1 PM, with Pastor Richard Black, Jr. officiating.  Please attend wearing casual clothes – your favorite sports jersey, if possible.  Ralph loved county music, dogs and cats, and being comfortable!  The family specifically requests that NO flowers be sent to the Celebration of Life, due to severe allergies.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to assist with the funeral expenses.   Donations can be sent to Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc., PO Box 910, Loysville, PA  17047.
