Phillip E. Goodling of Landisburg, age 53, died on March 26, 2022. Born in Harrisburg on August, 27, 1968 to the late Donald and Bonnie (Rheam) Goodling, Phil was a devoted friend, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his two daughters: Morgann (Derek) Hartman of Mechanicsburg and Makenzie (Ryan) Lord of York; his beloved companion, Christina Clark (Aurora and Hayden); three grandchildren: Saylor, Everly and Easton; and four brothers: Jeffrey (Linda) Goodling of Carlisle, Todd (Kristine) Goodling of Landisburg, Matthew (Angela) Goodling of Shermans Dale, and Corry (Crissy) Goodling of Landisburg. In addition to his parents, Phil is preceded in death by his brother, Scott Goodling.
Phil graduated with the class of 1986 from West Perry High School and worked at Fry Communication, Inc., and most recently as the Tyrone Township Supervisor. He was a member of the Owl’s Club in Newport. Phil’s top priority in life was friends and family. He valued relationships with people much more than material items.
A time of visitation will be held for Phil in the newly renovated chapel of Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31 from 6 to 8 PM. An additional hour of visitation will be held on Friday, April 1 at 10 AM at New Life Assembly of God, 397 Bridgeport Road, Landisburg. The funeral service will begin at 11 AM and be officiated by Pastor Trevor Lightner. Interment will follow the funeral service in Landisburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Phillip Goodling Memorial Fund (Bank of Landisburg, 100 N. Carlisle St., Landisburg, PA 17040) toward the new municipal EMS community center in Tyrone Township.
