Paul Richard Crozier, age 85, joined his Heavenly Father on October 12, 2020. Born on November 25, 1934 at home to the late George and Ruth (Comp) Crozier of Landisburg, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Janet (Neely) Crozier, and their two daughters: Cynthia and husband, Craig, Womer of Landisburg and Sherri Dobbs of Enola. He was the grandfather to ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Listing in order of age of grandchildren, the great-grandchildren will immediately follow their parents in parentheses: Robyn and Dan Davies (Hannah) of Houtzdale, Stacey Womer and Josh (David) of New Bloomfield, Justin and Kirstin Womer (Gavin and Ellie) of Landisburg, Christopher and Meredith Womer (Alexis) of Landisburg, Michael and Chevy Womer (Chloe, Carly and Carsyn) of Marysville, Shania and Dustin Merovich (Maverick) of Wellsville, Katelyn Womer of Landisburg, Derek and Megan Dobbs (Makenna and Laiven) of Landisburg, Brad Dobbs (Kayden) of Loysville, and Kristen Bixler of Shermans Dale. Paul is also survived by his brother, Robert Crozier of Landisburg and his sister, Georgia, and husband Charlie Markey of Dover. In addition to his late parents, Paul is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Crozier, and his brother, G. Glenn Crozier.
Paul retired at age 80 from working in the meat department at Karns Market. His complete list of jobs began with dairy farming, then trucking with Youngstown Cartage and Daily Express, followed by driving a tour coach for Rohrer’s, and drove a dump truck for Kitner Brothers Construction. Understandably, with driving so many large vehicles, his favorite tractor was “one that runs.” Paul was hard working, enjoyed hunting, loved to joke, and had only a slight stubborn streak in him, that became evident to those close to him.
A public viewing will be held Monday, October 19 at the Perry Mennonite Center from 10:30 to 12 noon, immediately followed by the funeral service at noon. The Pastor Charles Fitzpatrick will be officiating. These services will follow the COVID parameters of social distancing with masks recommended, but not required. Interment will follow the service at Mt Zion Cemetery in Bridgeport.
Memorial donations may be made in Paul’s name to Samaritan’s Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607. Online giving can be done at https://www.samaritanspurse.org/our-ministry/memorial-giving/
