Melicent M (Dick) Trimble

Melicent (Dick) Trimble, age 103 of Harrisburg, joined her Heavenly Father on June 28, 2022.  Born at home on May 24, 1919 to the late J. Martin and Zula Anna (Eshenauer) Dick of Wernersville, Melicent is survived by three children:  Daniel Trimble of Luling, LA, Rebekah (Robert) English of Sussex, New Brunswick (Canada), Timothy Trimble of Delaware; a daughter-in-law, Portia Trimble of Bakersfield, CA; too many grandchildren to count; and two half-brothers:  William (Valorie) Dick of Waynesboro and John (Betsy) Dick of Jersey Shore, PA.  In addition to her parents, Melicent is preceded in death by her devoted husband of over 35 years, Lloyd Trimble, who died in 1984, her son, Matthew Trimble, and a grandchild.  Melicent was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was generous, giving and loving.

She was an active member of Grace Chapel in Elizabethtown.  In addition to running a household and raising a family, she passionately served in a home for unwed mothers.  She also loved to write poems and songs and played the piano.

Funeral services for Melicent will be held at graveside on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Paddletown Cemetery, at 1 PM, with Pastor Mel Weaver officiating.
