Mary Louise Landvater

Mary Louise ‘Weezie’ Landvater, age 72, of Landisburg died on Friday November 15 2019 at The Colonial Park Nursing home in Harrisburg. 

She was born Febuary 10, 1947, to the late Gerald and Sarah Balmer in Harrisburg PA and graduated from Lower Dauphin High School. She was employed for many years at Holy Spirit Hospital where she worked until her retirement. Mary enjoyed walks in the park, bus trip vacations, and playing bingo.

She is survived by her daughter Sarah Templin of Landisburg, her two sons Michael Landvater married to Heidi Umholtz of New Bloomfield and Ronald Landvater of Harrisburg, her grandchildren; Katie Goodman married to Trevor Goodman of Grantville, Britton Landvater married to Bryanne Arnold of Newport, Tyler Templin of Millerstown, Chelsea Barnes married to Bill Barnes of Newport, and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Elizabeth Potteiger of Harrisburg and brothers Kenneth Balmer married to Carol Mlady of Sabinsville, Terry Hunstberger of Delaware, and Paul Engroff Jr. of Newport. 

Mary is preceded in death by her husband John Wilmer Landvater, her parents Gerald and Sarah Balmer, her brother Robert Balmer, and her sister Carol Ames. 

A memorial service will be held Friday, November 22, 6pm-8pm at the Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home.
