Lucille M (Dum) Rice

Lucille (Dum) Rice, age 79, joined her Heavenly Father on April 17, 2021.  Born on August 23, 1941 to the late Glenn and Hulda (Rice) Dum of Landisburg, Lucy is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Fred Rice of Ickesburg.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sister, Linda Rock of Landisburg, three nieces:  Deb Rock of Landisburg, Amber (Darren) Adair of Landisburg, and Amanda Rock of Newport; and a nephew:  Aiden Adair of Landisburg.  In addition to her parents, Lucy is preceded in death by a nephew, Brian Rock.  She will be greatly missed by her canine companion, CoCo. 

Lucy loved NASCAR racing, camping, cooking, and working in her flower garden.  She enjoyed her many nieces and nephews.  She was a member of the Faith United Church in Ickesburg, where she volunteered with Willing Workers.  In addition to being a wonderful wife, Lucy volunteered with the Ickesburg Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, as well as the Carlisle Hospital.  She also belonged to the Millerstown Moose #925.  She retired from the Shipping/Receiving Department at Lear after 36 years of employment.

The viewing for Lucy will be held at Faith United Church, 6968 Veteran’s Way, Ickesburg, PA  17037 on Friday, April 23 from 10 to 11 AM.  The funeral service will follow the viewing, with Rev. Elaine Moyer officiating.
