Kenneth Eugene Bender

Kenneth Bender, 70, of Landisburg, PA entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at UPMC Carlisle, PA.  Kenneth was born on March 7, 1950 in Landisburg, PA.  He was the son of the late Donald and Alverta (Garber) Bender.  He is survived by his wife Sharon (Shuman) Bender to whom he was married for 47 years.  He is also survived by a son, Barry, and his wife Rebecca, of Shermans Dale, two grandsons, Dakoda and Wyatt, a brother, Wayne Bender and his wife Liz of Landisburg, a niece Julie Wagner, and a nephew, Alex Bender.

He was a 1969 graduate of West Perry High School.  He retired from Carlisle School District and previously retired from Carlisle Tire and Wheel.  In his free time, Kenneth loved spending time with his family, going fishing with his grandsons, going to the beach, tractor pulls, and going to local events.

Funeral services will be held at New Hope United Church of Christ, 108 South Carlisle Street, Landisburg, PA 17040 on Friday, October 9.  Viewing will begin at 11 AM, followed by the funeral service at 1 PM with Pastor Joshua D. Craley officiating.  Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery.
