Keith Anthony Obituary

Keith Anthony, 67 of Elliottsburg, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on February 28, 2023.  He was born March 23, 1955 in Carlisle to the late Leon and Kathryn (Weaver) Anthony.  He is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Judy (Chestnut) Anthony; three children:  Jennifer (Jeffery) Cramer of Shermans Dale, Joseph (Jessica) Anthony of Elliottsburg, and James Anthony of Elliottsburg; three grandchildren:  Logan Anthony, Devin Cramer, and Gabriel; and four siblings:  Kathy (Wayne) Snyder of Blain. Michael Anthony of Landisburg, Walter (Cindy) Anthony of New Bloomfield, and Cindy Huynh of Shermans Dale.  In addition to his parents, Keith is preceded in death by a brother, Steven Anthony, who died in 2019.

Keith was a graduate of the 1973 Class of West Perry High School, and then went to work for Reeves Hoffman Crystals in Carlisle as a production team member.  He retired in 2007 from Exel Logistics in Mechanicsburg as a forklift operator.  This man of faith also belonged to the Sons of the American Legion Post #232 in Dry Run and the New Bloomfield Sportsman Club.

When asked to describe their dad, Keith’s children gave the following highest praise.  “He was my best friend.  Although he was strong and tough (and perhaps a tad stubborn), he was also loving, patient, generous and selfless.”  This Bible-reading man loved his family and will be dearly missed by all.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 6 at 11 AM at Blain Cemetery, with Rev. Bill Pipp officiating.  Keith’s final request to ride to the cemetery in his Sapphire Blue Ford F150 will be honored and the casket will remain closed at the graveside.   Memorial contributions can be made in Keith’s name to the American Cancer Society by calling 800-227-2345 or mailing it to American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD  21741.
