Judith Marie (Cornman) Dillman, age 74 of Loysville passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on January 5, 2025. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Judy was born in Carlisle to the late Ray Sylvester and Mary Arlene (Boyd) Cornman on July 26, 1950. She is survived by her three children: Denise M. Sheffield (Todd) of Lewisberry, Dawn R. Wilson (James) of New Cumberland, and Travis E. Dillman (Erin) of New Germantown; seven grandchildren: Maleah, Zoe, Natasha, Macy, Jordan, Allison, and Cole; and four siblings: Martha Motter of Plainfield, Sandra Broadwater (Tim) of Loysville, Margaret Zettlemoyer (Dennis) of New Bloomfield, and Frederick Cornman of Newville.
Judy was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Ronald E. Dillman, who passed away in September 2024. She was also predeceased by her parents, stepmother, Jetta Dorothy (Clark) Cornman, and eleven siblings: Richard Cornman, Charles Cornman, Roger Cornman, Kenneth Cornman, Lester Cornman, Lois Meals, Brenda Luttrell, Karen Myers, Cathy Fortini, Patricia Siegfried, and Susan Wright.
Judy graduated with the Class of 1968 of West Perry High School. She was a member of Centre Presbyterian Church in Loysville, where she was active with the Women’s Group and she assisted with the annual picnic and turkey suppers. In addition to raising a family and running a household, Judy worked as the Video Store Manager at PDS Entertainment and Grocery from 1985 to 1995 where she enjoyed working alongside her sisters. She also worked as a secretary for Agway in Newport and as a seamstress for the Dress Factory in Ickesburg. She was a self taught cook who loved to make Pennsylvania Dutch dishes and in her free time, she enjoyed riding motorcycle, sewing, planting flowers, spending time with family and watching the grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.
The evening visitation for Judy will be held on Friday, January 10 in the calming chapel of Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc from 5 to 7 PM. There will be an hour visitation prior to the funeral service from 10 to 11 AM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 11 at 11 AM at Centre Presbyterian Church in Loysville, with the Rev. Lon C. Kuehn officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service in Centre Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
