John William Andrews

John W. Andrews, 76 of New Bloomfield, passed away unexpectedly while traveling in North Carolina on May 9, 2025, with his beloved wife by his side.  Also known as “Lil John” and “JW”, he was born in Mechanicsburg to the late William D. and Gertrude Mae (Buser) Andrews, Jr on May 9, 1949.  He is survived by his beautiful wife of 21 years, Linda Kay (Haddock) Andrews, two children:  Trudy L. Geesaman of Shermans Dale and Traci R.C. Rodriquez (Jacob) of Middletown; two step daughters:  Regina L. Mumma of Harrisburg and Daphne D. Mumma of New Bloomfield; six granddaughters, seven grandsons, five great granddaughters, five great grandsons; and his brother, James L. Andrews (Dorothy) of Mechanicsburg.

John was a diversified businessman – through and through.  He was the owner of all the following businesses:  Village Square Auto Sales in Shermans Dale, Linda’s Country Café in Newport, Expressway Auto Sales in Mechanicsburg, Van Creations by Andrews & Meller of Lemoyne, and J.W. Andrews Commercial Flooring in New Bloomfield.  In his free time, John enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and was an active member of A.B.A.T.E. of Pennsylvania, an alliance of bikers dedicated to protecting the individual rights of motorcyclists through political change, charitable works, and public education.

Graveside funeral services for John will be held at Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church Cemetery, 935 Windy Hill Road, Shermans Dale, PA 17090 on Monday May 19, 2025 at 1 PM, with Rev. Larry Hale officiating.
