Joanne E. (Junk) Fisher, 81, of Loysville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Stonebridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, located in Duncannon. She was born August 19, 1944 in Juniata County to the late John and Arlene (Gibbons) Junk. She graduated from Carlisle High School with the class of 1962. Joanne was an active member of the Three Springs Church. She loved the Lord, her family, and her friends - always putting others before herself. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching her hummingbirds at the feeders, and crocheting in her free time. After her retirement from Carlisle Events, she enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida with Ray and friends.
Surviving are her three children: James Fisher (Sherri) of Marysville, Judy Campbell (Tony) of Loysville, and Jill Smith (Devin) of Loysville; six grandchildren: Colton Fisher of Marysville, Courtney Wagner (Tyler) of Loysville, Spencer Fisher of Marysville, Nicole Smith of Loysville, Lilly Campbell of Blain, and Erik Campbell of Loysville; one great-grandson: Anderson Wagner; two siblings: John Junk (Cathy) of Carlisle, and Kathy Kirkpatrick (Donald) of Orwigsburg; and her loving companion Eddie “Ray” Hench of Blain. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Fisher; and four siblings: Naomi Junk, Irene Elaine Kling, Karen Johnson, and Edwin Junk.
Celebration of life services will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM, in the Three Springs Church of the Brethren, 944 Three Springs Road, Blain, PA 17006, with Pastor Austin Helton officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM.
