Janie L. (Beichler) Geiling, 82 of Landisburg, died on August 21, 2021. She was born in Carlisle on January 13, 1939 to the late Harold and Nellie M. (Foster) Beichler. She is survived by two children: Douglas (Christine) Geiling of Landisburg and Tammy Jo (Frank) Roush of Barclaytown; six grandchildren: Derrick (Lori) Geiling of Landisburg, Corwin (Katie) Ford of Washington state, Leslie Ford of Carlisle, Benjamin Copenhaver of New Bloomfield, David (Kady) Weary of Shippensburg and Timothy Weary of Carlisle; eight great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Janie is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald N. Geiling, and her two brothers: David and Jim Beichler. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Janie enjoyed attending the Kennedy Valley Church of God, yard sales, and taking care of Ella, her canine companion. She worked as a dental assistant to Dr. Richard Kendig and only retired a few years ago because she loved her patients and her job.
The family invites you to join them in Celebrating Janie’s Life by paying condolences at the Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home on Saturday, September 4, 2021 from 9 to 11 AM in the newly renovated chapel, followed by a memorial service at 11 AM, officiated by Rev. Bill Pipp.
