Helen "Joanne" (Kane) Pearson

Helen "Joanne" Pearson, 78, of Elkton, MD, joined the Lord and her many beloved family members Friday, April 17, 2020.

Born August 7, 1941, in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late William Nuttall and Helen (Shanafelter) Nuttall.

Joanne married her high school sweetheart, George H. Pearson, enjoying almost 55 years of marriage before his passing in 2012. In addition to her parents and husband, Joanne was also preceded in death by her daughter, Cora Sitaras.

Joanne loved camping, gardening and feeding the wildlife. Mostly she cherished taking care of her family and home, from painting the house to cooking, including her special gift of entertaining during special occasions.

Survivors include her daughter Lisa Rhoades and her husband Rob Rhoades; son-in-law John Sitaras; brothers John Kane and James Kane (Betty}; 3 grandchildren: Devon Sitaras, Kevin Sitaras and Rachel Rhoades; others held close to her heart Roxanne Masters and Alexis Phelps and many other dear friends and family.

Graveside services will be held at Blain Cemetery. In addition, due to current restrictions a celebration of life shall be held at a later date.

Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Loysville, PA will be handling services.
