Harold Shank, 71 of Elliottsburg, left his Earthly home and joined his Heavenly Father on April 8, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 2, 1951 to the late John and Edna (Ebersole) Shank of Hanover, Harold is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Diana Shank; three children: Harold H Shank II, Randi J Keene, Michael Keene Jr., Nicole M Wilson, and Randall A Wilson; step-son, Joseph Johnson; eight grandchildren: George, Brianna, Dakota, Lindsay (Leif), Patrick, Sarah, Kathryn, and Sophia; one great grandchild, Carson, six siblings: Ray Shank, Lewis Shank, Ronald Shank, Miriam Becker, Gerald Shank, and Leland Shank; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Harold was a career truck driver. He drove for more than 40 years. He retired from the United States Postal Service with over 20 years of service transporting mail. He also drove for Hempt Brothers of Camp Hill as his post-retirement part-time job. Harold enjoyed RC airplanes, camping, fishing and traveling. He was loved by many and was happiest being around family and friends and most importantly, his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.
Harold’s Celebration of Life will be held in the newly renovated chapel of Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home in Loysville, on Friday, April 15 at 6 PM, with Rev. Bill Pipp officiating.
