Grace’s story was chronicled beautifully by staff writer of the Perry County Times, Paul E. Wyatt, and was featured on the front page of the newspaper October 9, 2025. The article was entitled, “Turning 100 years old “Grace’fully”.
Grace graduated from Blain Union High School. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, now Faith United Church of Ickesburg. Grace was “that lady” who everyone could call when they needed a volunteer at church (bake a cake, make the communion bread, another set of hands for a project). In her early years, Grace worked at the lingerie factory in Blain and Pennsylvania Department of Revenue in the Vehicle Registration Department. After she married, Grace was co-owner and hard worker at Cedar Lane Farm.
