Glenna M Shuman

Glenna M. Shuman, also known as “Tinker” of Newport, age 66, passed away unexpectedly in her home on October 20, 2021.  Born at home on May 23, 1955 to the late Glenn and Arlie (Fisher) Shuman of Loysville, Tinker is survived by six siblings:  Sharon Bender, Peggy O’Hara, and Debra (Edwin) Weller, all of Landisburg, Linda Shuman of Newport, Gary Shuman of Loysville, and Patty (Anthony Wayne) Rowe of Shermans Dale; two nieces, two nephews, and her companion, Danny Comp of Newport.

Tinker worked in the Produce Department at Weis Market in Newport for over 25 years, where she received numerous service awards for her dedication to her job.  In her free time, she loved to read novels and attend local carnivals.  She was a member of the Millerstown Moose Lodge #925 and the Newport VFW Post #34, as well as the Hunter Valley social club.

The family is having private services for Glenna.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Glenna’s name to Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc., PO Box 910, Loysville, PA  17047 to help defray funeral expenses.
