George Womer

George E. Womer, 91 of Carlisle, left his Earthly home and entered his Heavenly Father’s arms on September 29, 2023.  Born at home on August 3, 1932 to the late George C. and Marion (Becky) Womer of Landisburg, George is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Anna (Sherman) Womer and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Clouse.

George worked in logistics within several manufacturing companies during his career:  TRW (now known as Chromalloy American Corporation), and Capital Products and Masland, both of Carlisle.  He was an active attender of Mt Zion Free Lutheran Church in Landisburg.  In his free time, George loved dogs, going out to eat, hunting deer, and playing mini-golf (especially when he was winning!). 

George’s funeral services are being held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 in the calming chapel of Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc. of Loysville.  The visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11, officiated by Pastor David Lusk.  Interment will follow the funeral service at Landisburg Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation in George’s name to Homeland Hospice, 2300 Vartan Way, Suite 270, Harrisburg, PA  17110, Church of God Home, 801 N.
