Gary Lynn Vaughn

WAYNESBORO, PENNSYLVANIA

Garry Lynn Vaughn age 51 of 131 E. Main Street, Waynesboro was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 2:33 PM at the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born June 20, 1959 in Waynesboro he was the son of the late Linda M. Vaughn.

He was a 1978 graduate of Waynesboro Area Sr. High School.

He had been employed prior to retirement at The Record Herald both delivering newspapers and as a stuffer for the newspaper.  He also worked as a Fireman.

He loved playing Bingo, collecting NASCAR, traveling especially to Florida and Daytona.  He loved socializing with friends and family and especially eating. His favorite love of all was the Fire Department.

He was a member of the  Antrim Assembly of God Church, Greencastle, and was a member of the former Mechanics Steam and Hose Fire Company which is now the Waynesboro Vol. Fire Department and was a social member of the American Legion Joesph Stickle Post #15, Waynesboro.

He is survived by his sister Lisa Zenz and her husband Jerry Zentz of Taneytown; his step father Gerald Ibex of Westminster, six nieces and nephews, three aunts, Frances Zigger of Shady Grove, Annabel Salisbury of Fayetteville, Thelma Kline of State Line and an uncle Bob Vaughn of Thurmont.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 2 PM at the Lochstampfor Funeral Home, Inc. corners of W. Second and S. Church Streets, Waynesboro.  Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook Officiating.  Interment at Beautiful View Cemetery, State Line, PA.  The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home.   A full Fireman’s Funeral will be honored by the Waynesboro Vol. Fire Department.
