Gary Lee Dixon Sr.

Shermans Dale, Pennsylvania

Gary Lee Dixon, Sr. age 62, after a long illness died at his home with his family by his side on June 5, 2019.

Born July 24, 1956 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Lee and Betty Mae (Gabler) Dixon.

Gary was a 1974 graduate of Shippensburg High School.

On June 29, 1984 in Towson, Maryland he married his loving and devoted wife of 35 years Deborah A. (Barnes) Dixon.

He was the owner of Dixon’s All Appliance Service Company in Shermans Dale retiring in November 2018.

Besides being a devoted family man, Gary lived for hunting, fishing, baseball, and his customers.

Gary enjoyed the outdoors.

He was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Landisburg and the NRA.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three children Shanel Rodich of North Augusta, South Carolina David Lee Dixon of Carlisle, Pennsylvania and Chara Dixon of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Many nieces and nephews including  Harry Barnes IV who was like a son; grandson Gauge M. Rodich; a sister Beverly Failor and husband Wes of Loysville and Scott Dixon of Orrstown, Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Gary Lee Dixon, Jr. and a  sister Gloria Christine Dixon.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 1 PM in the Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc. 3626 Sherman’s Valley Road, Loysville, PA 17047. Rev. David Lusk officiating.  Interment private.
