Gabriel P Szilveszter of Loysville, age 60, passed away unexpectedly at home with his companion by his side on June 14, 2023. Born on January 14, 1963 in Côte-des-Neiges, Quebec, Canada to the late Louis and Ilona (Pastor) Szilveszter, Gabe is survived by his devoted companion, Karen Wilson of 28 years; and three sisters: Eva Pastor of Rosenberg, TX, Scarlet (Michael) Guilbert and Agnes (Douglas) McGregor, both of Quebec, Canada. In addition to his parents, Gabe is preceded in death by two siblings: Jasint Kalinics and Arther Szilveszter.
Although Gabe worked as a long-haul truck driver, most people will know him as an artist. Trucking paid the bills which allowed him to focus on his passion. He painted Perry County historical sites in oils and acrylics, as well as exotic eggs, such as pheasant, goose, rhea, emu and ostrich, to which he hand painted detailed portraits of animals and florals. Gabe also etched mirrors with wildlife scenes.
The private services for Gabe will be held at the convenience of the family.
