Francis E. Hamilton, Jr. age 73 of Waynesboro was called home to on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at the Falling Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chambersburg, PA.
Born, December 24, 1943 in Freemont, Michigan he was the son of the late Francis E. Hamilton, Sr. and Marian Baker Hamilton.
He was a graduate of Freemont High School in Michigan.
He was a US Veteran serving in the US Navy as an Electrician for 18 years serving in Guam and the Philippians. After leaving the Navy he worked as a civilian electrician in Florida.
Francis was married to the late Roberta Baker E. (Bush) until her death on January 1, 2009.
He was Methodist.
He is survived by one son Richard Read, Sr. of Philadelphia, four step children Michael Read of Texas, Rose Sawyer of Snyderville, PA; Rebecca Frederick of E. Stroudsburg, PA; Kristisa D. Pealta of Florida; siblings Loreta Morey; Gail Davied; Valarie Hamilton, Greg Hamilton, Carol Bulson; Jennifer Hudson; Charles Hamilton and Cathy Clough all of Michigan; stepmother Janet Mac Hamilton of Fremont, Michigan; 11 grandchildren and 8 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be private and held at a later time.
