Florence Kint Obituary

F. Genevieve Kint, 98, of Loysville passed away peacefully at her son’s home in Blain on February 24, 2021.  Genevieve was born January 22, 1923 in Perulack, Juniata County to the late Foster J Gibbons and late Ida E. Berrier Hampton.  She was the widow of Raymond E. Kint, deceased March 31, 1994.  She was a retired farmer and homemaker.

Genevieve enjoyed life to the fullest.  Her family was one of her greatest joys.  She loved Sunday night suppers with her family, listening to live music weekly, and visiting the Senior Center in Blain on Wednesdays.  April Fool’s Day and Halloween were always her favorite times of the year.  She enjoyed trying to pull an April Fool’s joke on you the first thing in the morning and dressing up to fool her own family by not telling them what she was dressed up as.  You could usually find her singing, whistling, and dancing wherever you saw her and always with a smile on her face.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and will remain in our hearts eternally!

Genevieve is survived by five children:  Gary L. Kint (Cheryl), Judy E. Gibney (Tom), Dianna K. Kint, Roger D. Kint (Donna), and Randy L. Kint (Danielle); daughter-in-law Mary J. Kint; eight grandchildren:  Angela K. Wickard, Kristine M. Goodling (Todd), Lori G. Ellerman (Brian), Heather R. Templin (Tracy), Troy A. Tharp (Marcy), Shaun M. Tharp (Lisa), Jesse M. Kint (Sandi), and Lindsay K. Kint; step-grandchild, Michael L. Sipe (Nancy); fourteen great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and three siblings:  John A. Hampton, Dale M. Hampton, and Beatrice I. Trego.  In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons:  Ronald L. Kint and Steven R. Kint; one step-granddaughter, Tomelyne R. Deitrich; companion Elwood B. Leckrone; and three siblings:  Blaine E. Hampton, Anna G. Reed, and Minnie L. Metz.
