Edward “Ed” M. Ulsh, age 75 of Elliottsburg, died Friday, April 22, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 28, 1946 to the late Dickson and E. Vivian (Baker) Ulsh. Ed was the widower of Diane (Dunkleberger) Ulsh and Janice (Weigle) Ulsh. In addition to his late parents and wives, Ed is also preceded in death by his stepson, Jeff Pyser.
Ed is survived by his two sons: Jeffrey (Heather) Ulsh and Michael (Candy) Ulsh; sisters: Molly (Alvus) Gray and Beth Weiner; and two grandchildren: Logan Ulsh and Jordan Ulsh. He is also survived by his stepfamily: Bob (Leah) Pyser, Jim (Ann) Pyser, Nancy Pyser, Cherie (Dave) Lyon, and Andy (Sharon) Rodemaker; twelve step grandchildren: Rob Pyser, Chrissy True, Ryan and Brennan Pyser, Laurie Lyon-Duke, Amanda and Shaina Lyon, Joel, Julie and Catlin Pyser, Adrean and Austin Rodemaker; two nieces: Rebecca O’Dell and Elizabeth Weiner; and a nephew, Andrew Weiner.
Upon graduation with the Class of 1964 of Green Park Union High School, Ed proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1972 at the rank of sergeant. A retired employee of TRW, Ed enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing with friends. He was a member of the American Legion Post #177 of Newport and the Ickesburg Sportsmans Association.
As Ed desired, a graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 28 at Landisburg Cemetery at 1:30 PM. Rev. Bill Pipp will be officiating, and military honors will be presented. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to Ickesburg Sportsman Association, 306 Snyder Lane, Ickesburg, PA 17037.
