Edward E Rowe

Edward E. Rowe, age 62, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on February 23, 2021.  Born on May 9, 1958 in Carlisle to Harold E. Rowe and the late Laura “Betty” (Balicki) Rowe of Landisburg, Ed is survived by his wife of 35 years, Bobby Jo (Mortorff) Rowe of Newport, a daughter, Jennifer (Deiter) Rowe of Shermans Dale, three granddaughters:  Alivia, Magdalena, and Serena of Shermans Dale, and three brothers:  Harold (Pearl) Rowe of Landisburg, Ricky Rowe of Landisburg, and John (Janet) Rowe of Carlisle.

Ed retired in August 2020 from the Carlisle Fairgrounds as a Sanitation Engineer.  He also worked for Carlisle Productions.  He loved to go fishing and “parking” at drive-in movies with his wife.  His granddaughters were his pride and joy.  Ed enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, telling funny stories, and helping others work on their cars.  He was a “man’s man” and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Ed will be the guest of honor at the Gathering of Friends being held in the newly renovated chapel of Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, located at 3626 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville.  The Gathering will be held late afternoon on Friday, March 5 from 4 to 6 PM.  This service will follow the COVID parameters of social distancing with masks required.
