Earl Wayne Dingle, age 71 of Shermans Dale, was found deceased in his home on Thursday, April 6, 2023. Wayne was born May 30, 1951 to the late Doris Dingle in Pugwash, Nova Scotia, Canada. His beautiful wife of 31 years, Brenda (Sheely) Dingle died only six weeks ago. He is survived by two children: Doug and Gail Wanda Dingle, both of British Columbia, Canada; two grandchildren: Bryan and Alyssa Dingle; two great grandchildren: Addaline and Castille; and his brother-in-law, Ralph (Beth) Sheely of Carlisle.
After completing high school, Wayne joined the Canadian Army and spent his career travelling the world as a mechanic. He loved dogs and motorcycles. He used his great storytelling skills as he volunteered his time with service clubs within the community. He loved to help others and was a member of the Lions Club and Sandy Hill United Church of Christ, where he was the acting church secretary. He was known for his cooking, and even hosted a weekly digital recipe exchange.
A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 20 at Sandy Hill United Church of Christ at 10 AM, with Pastor Don Funk officiating.
