E. Elizabeth (Sheibley) Bolze, age 101, passed away on June 2, 2020 at Premier at Perry Village. Born on September 5, 1918 to the late Charles Sheibley and Alice (Yocum) Sheibley, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Forrest Bolze, her sister Goldie Kling, her brothers Wilson and David Sheibley, and grandson Greg Bolze.
Elizabeth was loved by her family, who will dearly miss her. She is survived by her sister, Gladys McCraken of Landisburg, a daughter, Mary Jane Collins (Baird) of Loysville, and a son, James Bolze (Martha) of Landisburg. In addition, she leaves behind five grandchildren: Barbara Miller (Michael) of Key Largo, FL; Kathy Evans of Duncannon; Michael Bolze (Jennifer) of Landisburg; Deena Quickel (Ken) of Dover; and Dan Bolze (Karen) of Landisburg. She also leaves behind eight great grandchildren: Taryn Evans, Brady Evans, Shawna Morrow, Kayla Bolze, Lila Bolze, Zeke Bolze, Audrey Morrison, and Rebecca Morrison. She is also survived by four great-great grandchildren: Forrest, Clara, Eleanor, and Teddy.
Elizabeth was a longtime member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Elliottsburg, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was also active in the community. She loved her life on the farm raising chickens, tending several large gardens, canning, and cooking; but Elizabeth's true passion was flowers. Her flowers and plants, inside and out, flourished under her "green thumb." They were stunningly beautiful.
Elizabeth also took pleasure in her work cleaning for Warm Springs Lodge, Dr. Phillip Cook, Mr. Lippencott, Collins Construction, and Bolze's Auto Tech. She also worked at the Tressler Town Press.
Burial will be private in the Messiah Lutheran Church Cemetery. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, PO Box 34, Elliottsburg, PA 17024.
Arrangements entrusted to the Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home.
