Dorothy L. “Dot” (Baker) Morrison, age 88 of Shermans Dale, left her Earthly home and joined her Heavenly Father on December 8, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family as she peacefully died at home. Born at home on September 5, 1935 to the late Charles and Mary (Moore) Baker of Landisburg, Dot is survived by four children: Tom B. Morrison of Shermans Dale, Judy L. (Bob) Clouser of Landisburg, Kathy A. (Sid) Eshleman of Land O’ Lakes, FL, and Joan E. (Edward) Deiter of Landisburg; two grandchildren: Barry E. Clouser of Landisburg and Krystal A. Morrison of NY; and her brother, Donald S. Baker of Landisburg. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by son Dennis E. Morrison, who died in 2020; and brother, Dale H. Baker. Dot will also be missed by her feline companion, Spooky – her black green-eyed Halloween cat. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She was a lifetime member of the Kennedy Valley Church of God in Landisburg. She graduated with the Class of 1953 of Green Park Union High School. Dot worked for Book of the Month Club, Piezo Crystals in Carlisle, Musselman’s Cannery, and Hartzell’s Eye Doctor. In her free time, Dot passionately cared for her flower garden and Princess Anne, her late Pomeranian. She also enjoyed playing cards and completing jigsaw puzzles.
The viewing for Dot will be held in the calming chapel at Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home in Loysville on Tuesday, December 12 from 11 AM to 12 noon.
