Dennis G Smith, Sr.

Dennis “Denny” G. Smith, Sr., 78 of Blain, passed away peacefully in his home on January 1, 2023.  He was born January 22, 1944 to the late J. Clyde and Estella B. (Seibert) Smith of Blain.  In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by a son, Dennis G. Smith, Jr. and nine siblings:  J. Clyde Jr., Charlotte, Donald, Benjamin, North, Dean, Joy, Larry, and Gary.  Denny is survived by his three children:  Devin (Jill) Smith of Loysville, Loren Smith of Blain, and Lorissa (Mark) Delaney of Wellsville; five grandchildren:  Dakota Smith, Sarah (Dalton) Reapsome of Shermans Dale, Courtney (Tyler) Wagner of Loysville, Logan Smith of Landisburg, and Nicole Smith of Blain; and a sister, Dotty Jane Linard of Maytown.

Denny was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542 where he was a crane operator and worked out of the Harrisburg Union Hall.  Additionally, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tending to his garden.

Funeral services for Denny will be private and at the convenience of the family.
