David Brown Obituary

David James Brown, 60, of Hummelstown, left his Earthly home to join his Heavenly Father on January 27, 2023.  He was born in Fremont, NE on February 4, 1962 to the late Rev. Donald and Vicki (Boyd) Brown.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Wendy (Weaver) Brown; his son, Kyle Weaver of Hummelstown; and two siblings:  Daniel Brown of Fort Wayne, IN and Karen Kretzing (widow of Daniel Kretzing) of Landisburg.

David graduated with the 1981 Class of Three Rivers High School in Texas and continued his post-secondary education in music.   He played the tuba in the high school band.  He was passionate about music.  He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Camp Hill, where he sang in the choir.  He also enjoyed volunteering with Area M Special Olympics.

David loved God and people.  Many times, on family outings, he would often disappear and was later found reminiscing about things that happened in the past with someone he knew.  He loved to play Wizard 101 on his computer and he had a great sense of humor!

The services for David will be held on Saturday, February 4 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut Street, Camp Hill, PA  17011.  The visitation with family members will be held from 10 to 11 AM.  The Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM, with Pastor Jack Horner officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut Street, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
