Charles K. Reisinger, 87, of Ickesburg passed away on December 24, 2022 at his home with his family by his side. He was a loving husband, devoted father and an extremely hard worker. He enjoyed woodworking, raising cattle, country music, gardening, yard work, and being with family and friends. He retired from PennDOT where he had worked for 30 years.
Born at home on October 22, 1935 to the late Charles Kenneth “CK” and Frances (Shull) Reisinger, Charlie is survived by his three sons: Rick (Julia) Reisinger of Ickesburg, Ron (Shiela) Reisinger of Newport, and Rod (Tracy) Reisinger of Ickesburg; four grandchildren: Robin (Matt) Klinger of Millerstown, Amanda (Nathan) Hollenbaugh of Newport, Rodney (Amanda) Reisinger, Jr. of Ickesburg, and Damian (Emily) Reisinger of Ickesburg, five great grandchildren: Charles, Audrey, Wyatt, Tod, and Elsa; and three sisters: Louise Dum of Elliottsburg, Carrie Kistler of Elliottsburg, and Roberta Metz of McAlisterville. In addition to his parents, Charlie is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 46 years, Audrey Reisinger; three brothers: John, Robert, and Clarence Reisinger and a sister, Joan Metz. He was loved and admired by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
The evening visitation for Charlie will be held on Thursday, December 29 from 6 to 8 PM in the calming chapel of Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home in Loysville. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30 at Faith United Church in Ickesburg, with Rev. Elaine Moyer officiating. The funeral service will begin at 11 AM, with a visitation an hour prior to the service (10 to 11 AM). Interment will follow the funeral service at Buffalo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charlie’s name to the Dementia Society of America online at https://dementiasociety.charityproud.org/donate.
