Carrie Elizabeth Knerr of Landisburg, age 41, left her Earthly home and joined her Heavenly Father on December 13, 2022. Born in Harrisburg on October 16, 1981 to Barry and Candace “Candy” (Wentworth) Knerr of Landisburg, Carrie is survived (in addition to her parents) by three siblings: Cassie (Scott) Bookamer of Tampa, FL, Ben (Sarah) Knerr of Gardners, PA and Jonathan (Leslie) Knerr of Leadville, CO; and eleven nieces and nephews.
Carrie was homeschooled through high school and continued her education at Shippensburg University, where she graduated Cum Laude with a major in Art. She later pursued her career as a curator at the Landis House for the Perry County Council of Arts. Carrie was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Carlisle and enjoyed the times she was able to accompany as pianist for services. In her free time, she loved playing piano, working in her vegetable garden, knitting blankets, shawls and hats, and reading wide genres of books. She was an active member in her book club.
Funeral services for Carrie will be held at the Grace Baptist Church in Carlisle on Tuesday, December 20. The viewing and visitation time will be 9:30 to 11 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11 AM, officiated by Pastor John Miller. Interment will follow the funeral service in Reibers Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Carrie’s name to Heritage Christian School, 2401 Fort Robinson Road, Loysville, PA 17047 and/or The Christian School of Grace Baptist Church, 777 W. North St., Carlisle, PA 17013.
