Bobbie Jo (Hagie) Whitcomb, age 55 of Newport, passed away on March 29, 2025, with her family by her side, after a courageous and strong battle with cancer. Born on January 26, 1970 in Tyrone (Blair County) to the late Harold D. Hagie and Nancy Ann (Bell) Hagie Underwood, Bobbie is survived by three children: Brooke A. Blaine (Brian) of New Bloomfield, Hunter D. Whitcomb (Samantha) of Duncannon, and Dalton W. Whitcomb (Hayley) of New Bloomfield; three grandchildren: Kayden, Wrenley, and Levi; and four siblings: Wendy A. Early (Thomas) of Harrisburg, Lisa L. Smith (William) of Middletown, Lori J Tini (Dave) of Dupont, and Shawn D. Hagie of Bellwood; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Kim Whitcomb. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Bobbie was also known by her nickname, Bub-Bub. She graduated with the Class of 1987 of Bellwood High School. In addition to running a household and raising a family, Bobbie worked for HJ Towing & Recovery, Class 8, and Redneck Trailer. She retired as the Office Manager of Brenner Collision Center. In her free time, Bobbie enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, spoiling the grandchildren, and swimming at Free Spirit Campground. She was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #34 of Newport and Middletown Anglers and Hunters.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life to be held in the future.
