Betty Britcher Obituary

Betty A. (Deiter) Britcher, 90, formerly of Landisburg, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Manor Care, Carlisle.

Born May 12, 1929 in Centre Township, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Sara (Fuller) Deiter, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Britcher and her son, Lester Britcher.

Always a true homesteader, Betty was known for her canning and cooking. Sunday dinners and family gatherings were important to her and she always enjoyed having everyone over and could also be counted on to send cards for birthdays and holidays, without fail. She attended Sheaffer’s Valley Church of God.

Surviving is her daughter: Betty J. Reichenbach, Carlisle; her son: Donald L. Britcher (and Beverly), Carlisle; one brother: Benjamin Deiter (and Sandra), Mifflin; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery.
