Barbara Ann (Trego) Miller

Barbara Ann (Trego) Miller, age 82, of New Bloomfield, gained her angel wings on June 7, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Lewistown on November 26, 1939 to the late John and Naomi Grace (Burdge) Trego, Barb is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Charles “Bob” Miller.  In addition to her husband, Barb is survived by her five children:  Robert Miller of New Bloomfield, Richard (Donna) Miller of New Bloomfield, Barry Miller of New Germantown, Kimberly (Brian) Knaub of New Bloomfield, and Glenn Miller of Blain; nine grandchildren:  Keith (Bobbi Jo) Miller of Shermans Dale, Chad Miller of New Bloomfield, Terri (Scott) Sheaffer of Gardners, Stacy (Tony) Starner of Gardners, Barry Miller, Jr. of Carlisle, Jamie (Tim) Engle of Millerstown, Jessa Knaub of New Bloomfield, Chelsey Miller of Enola, and Glenn Miller, Jr. of Blain; seventeen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and her brother, Donn Trego of Newark, DE.  In addition to her parents, Barb is preceded in death by her grandson, Jeremy Miller; and her six siblings:  John Trego, Phyllis Shaw, Mary Jane Peterson, Robert Trego, Jim Trego, and Ronald Trego.  Barb was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother – grands, great-grands, and great great grands.  She always put family first and was generous, giving and loving.

In addition to raising an active family and running a household, Barb worked at Kinney Shoe Company as a Caser for over thirty years, and then as a Receptionist for Dr. Jon Noll for nine years.  Barb worked hard her entire life.  She loved people!  She enjoyed socializing with friends and family, and hosted the holiday meals, since she was a phenomenal cook.  Friends and family raved about her fudge – both peanut butter and chocolate, and her from-scratch chocolate cake with peanut butter icing.  Her family (and the rest of the world) will miss her dearly!

Funeral services for Barb will be held on Tuesday, June 14 at New Bloomfield United Methodist Church, 100 W. Main St., New Bloomfield, PA  17068.  The Gathering of Friends will be 11 AM to 1 PM.  The Memorial Service will begin at 1 PM, officiated by Reverend Ellen Scamahorn.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Residential Hospice, online at https://www.residentialhealthcaregroup.com/services/hospice/give-back/ or by snail-mail:  Residential Hospice Foundation, 5440 Corporate Drive, Suite 400, Troy, MI  48098.
