Anthony Wayne Rowe

Anthony Wayne Rowe, fondly called “Rooster” by his friends, 58 of Shermans Dale entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 15, 2022.  He was born March 17, 1964 in Carlisle.  He was the son of Raymond (deceased) and Anna Marie (Sweger) Rowe, who lives in Landisburg.  In addition to his mother, Wayne is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Patty (Shuman) Rowe, and three brothers:  Randall Rowe of Landisburg, Brian Rowe of Carlisle, and Blaine Rowe of Oklahoma.  Wayne will be dearly missed by his rescue canine companion, Vaughan.

Wayne was a mechanic employed by Enck’s Sunoco in Loysville and previously employed at Turner’s Chevrolet of Loysville and Martin’s Auto Service of Landisburg.  When he wasn’t working at Enck’s, Wayne loved to attend the dirt track races at Port Royal and Path Valley.  He loved to work – tinkering, creating, repairing.  Some folks called him “Mr. Fix It” since he enjoyed helping people who truly needed a small engine repaired.  He was passionate about being out in the woods, and his vacation was always scheduled for the first two weeks of rifle deer hunting season.

The evening visitation for Wayne will be held on Friday, July 22 from 6 to 8 PM in the newly renovated chapel of Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc in Loysville.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 23 at 12 noon at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Loysville, with Rev.
