Amos Eugene Enterline

Amos Eugene “Gene” Enterline, age 79 of Landisburg, died on October 18, 2021.  Born at home on August 3, 1942 to the late Amos A. and Sarah (Farmer) Enterline of Lancaster Junction, he loved bowling, taking care of his wild birds and deer, helping others with small building and repair jobs, and watching “his” game shows – Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.  Gene is survived by his beautiful wife of 42 years, Alice (Oliver) Enterline, five children:  Wanda Hughes of Williamsport, Dwane Enterline of Lancaster, Melony (Jeff) Stoner of Wrightsville, Larry Geib of Hellam, and Franklin Geib of CA; two brothers:  David (Doris) Enterline of Mt. Joy and Dennis (Mandy) Enterline of Mountville, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, Gene is preceded in death by his sister, Helen Shenk.  He will be missed by many wonderful friends.

Gene was a life member of Elstonville Sportsmen Association in Manheim.  When not enjoying fishing and hunting, he worked at Mt. Joy Wire as a machine operator.  He retired from there after 42 years of service.

A Gathering of Friends and Family will take place in the newly renovated chapel of Nickel Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 11 AM to 1 PM.  Guests are requested to come prepared to write a memory of Gene for the family to read and enjoy as they grieve.
