Ruby Irene Keck, age 85, of Shermans Dale, PA was called home on Thursday, April 25, 2019 with her loving family by her side.

Born September 15, 1933 in Blain, Pennsylvania she was the daughter of the late Calvin Theodore and Sadie Marion (Waldsmith) Hess.

She attended the Stoney Point schools.

On December 10, 1977 she married her loving late husband Norman Henry Keck.

She worked for the Capital products until it closed and then she worked as a cafeteria lady for the West Perry School District until her retirement.

She is survived by two son Dutch Smith, Brian Smith and his wife Danielle and a daughter Judy Diehl and her husband Francis all of Shermans Dale; 5 grandchildren Lance Diehl and his wife Miste of Enola; Jason Diehl and his wife Dawn of Millerstown; Kristen Salisbury and her husband Roy of Carlisle; Erin Smith of Duncannon and Brittney Kessler and her husband Derrick of Newville; four great grandchildren Hayley Diehl; Ryleigh Salisbury; Demi Kessler and Josie Kessler, a sister Betty George of Plainfield, PA and a brother Donald Hess and his wife Dory of Loysville. In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters; Nora Kumler; Charlotte Nace; Carrie Weibey; Janet Morrison; Earl Hess; Calvin Gutshall; Dale Hess; Frank Hess and Karl Hess.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. in the Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc., 3626 Sherman’s Valley Road, Loysville, PA with a funeral service to follow at 11 A.M. with Rev. Jeff Brewster officiating.   Interment to follow in Restland Cemetery, Loysville.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made in her name to the Shermans Dale Fire Company; 5450 Spring Rd, Shermans Dale, PA 17090
