Michael M. Miller

 Michael Morgal Miller, long time resident of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, and son of Evelyn F. and Christian C. Miller, died on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at his home in Spencer, West Virginia.

 Mike was born in Waynesboro on June 1, 1940, attended local schools, and graduated Waynesboro High School in 1958.  Mike attended Misenheimer College in North Carolina and Temple University before joining his father in the management of CC Miller Orchards in Franklin County. Mike was an enthusiastic and experienced farmer and orchardist and active in numerous social and professional organizations.

In the mid 1980’s, Mike established the Big Apple Market in Rouzerville, where he dealt in NASCAR racing memorabilia. He also became a sponsor of the Dave Marcus Racing Team and traveled to many races. After the sale of the Big Apple Market and the family orchards, Mike retired to Spencer, West Virginia, where he built a home, invested in timberland, and married Linda Terrell.

Mike was a lifelong outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing trips to North Carolina, Florida, and Costa Rica and hunting trips to the Rocky Mountains. He was a long-time member of the Waynesboro Fish & Game and the Narrows Gunning Association in Fulton County.

In addition to his wife, Linda, Mike is survived by his brother, Christian Miller, and his wife Paula, of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and five nephews, their wives and children.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, PA. Rev. Richard Daughtridge officiating from Jacobs Church, Fairfield, PA.
