Merle R. Bair

Merle Robert Bair, age 88 of Landisburg died Monday, February 4, 2019 at his home in Landisburg.

Born January 14, 1931 in Littlestown, Pennsylvania he was the son of the late Reuben Bair and I. Mae (Snyder) Jacoby.

He graduated from Boiling Springs High School.

He was the husband of Gloria D. Bair.

He was employed as a supervisor at Amp. Inc in Carlisle retiring in 1987.

He was a member of Amp Nimrods.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a son Terry Bair and his wife Carolyn; five step children David Watson; Fred Watson; Sue McLaughlin; Jeffery Watson and Joanne Burchard; grandchildren Daniel Bair and Heather Kuffa, Melanie Howard; step grandchildren Bryan Watson; Melissa Duchesne; Britney Watson; Natasha McLaughlin; Joanna Hope; Brooke Watson; Lindsey Watson; and Michael Watson; 4 great grandchildren and 8 great step grandchildren; three brothers Reuben Bair; Robert Bair and Charles Jacoby and a sister Helen Clouser.   In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son Kurt Bair and step son Garry Watson; step father Arthur Jacoby and brother Milton Jacoby.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 1 P.M in the Nickel-Lochstampfor Family Funeral Home, Inc., 3626 Sherman’s Valley Road, Loysville, PA 17047.  Rev. Dennis Bailey, Jr. officiating.  Inurnment will be private for the family.   www.nickelfuneralhomeloysville.com
